In 2018, CSIRO released a report on Six ‘megatrends’ to re-shape workplace health and safety with an ageing workforce as one of the six trends. As Australia’s workforce ages and the growing trend of Australians staying in the workforce longer, employers need to implement strategies to retain, recruit and support mature workers.
This seminar is designed to provide an overview of the challenges and practical strategies for managing the ageing workforce and examples of how some employers are already mitigating this evolving challenge.
The seminar will commence at 8:45am and conclude at 3:30pm. Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be included in the cost of registration.

This unique one day seminar will be held in three sessions:
Session 1 - Unique Perspectives
You will hear three unique perspectives about the impacts of Australia's ageing workforce with presentations from the regulator, an academic and a legal expert. These presentations will outline trends and strategies from the varying perspectives.
Session 2 - Expert Knowledge
Four industry experts will share their knowledge and outline the challenges and solutions that can be implemented in the workplace.
Session 3 - Practical Solutions
Three organisations will present case studies around the programs and strategies that they are implementing in their workplaces. You will take away practical solutions to help strengthen and prepare your workplace and an ageing workforce.
