Monday 14, Dec 2020

Water safetySpecialised workplace health, safety and well-being guide publishers, Pro-Visual, in conjunction with their partners the Australian Swim Schools Association (ASSA) and the NSCA Foundation, are proud to release the 2020/21 National Guide to Public Pools & Aquatic Centres.

The free of charge wall-mountable Guide is designed for display year-round in public pools and aquatic centres to communicate serious safety issues, with the aim of keeping children and patrons safer around water and helping to lower the drowning statistics in Australia.

This year the Guide focuses on the introduction of ASSA’s SAFERwater Warriors animated characters, a campaign launched to support their SAFERlayers of protection, also featured on this year’s Guide.

“We are excited to be using these characters to help share important water safety messaging. Each SAFERwater Warrior has a vital message attached to them and is designed as a fun and fresh approach to spreading vital water safety messages through our swim schools,” said Siria Thomas, Convenor of ASSA’s Water Safety Committee.

In addition to the SAFERwater Warriors, topics address important water safety issues that encompass:

  • Public Pool Safety.
  • Sun Safety.
  • The SAFERlayers Swimming Story.

The AR interactive digital feature significantly enhances user engagement. By simply downloading the free Pro-Vis AR app and scanning over any AR capable content using a smart device, users can access additional resources, including educational videos.
