Meet the Presenter
 Soon Boon Chew

Sam JacksonPartner, Sparke Helmore Lawyers

Sam works with his clients to help them manage their critical workplace risks, including major incidents, regulatory investigations, prosecutions and employment & IR disputes.

He acts in defence of WHS prosecutions in the Victorian, New South Wales and Commonwealth jurisdictions, including in the successful defence of a number of WHS prosecutions through withdrawals, acquittals and successful appeals.

He has spent much of 2020 advising clients on the myriad of safety and employment related issues that have arisen due to the COVID19 pandemic, including government restrictions, workplace COVID infections, WorkSafe investigations and workforce restructuring.

Sam’s expertise across both employment and WHS means his clients benefit from advice that recognises the close relationship between these areas, enabling the proactive identification and resolution of issues.
